The extra service will help Taylor Swift concert-goers to travel home post-gig.

An extra late-night train service from Liverpool will run on Saturday (June 15), for fans heading home from Taylor Swift’s final show at Anfield stadium.

With the home of Liverpool FC having strict rules in place which mean the concert must finish by 11.00pm, TransPennine Express’s additional service will depart from Liverpool Lime Street at 11:32pm calling at Liverpool South Parkway, Warrington Central, and Birchwood, before ending at Manchester Piccadilly at 12.34am.

While the late-night train will make it easier for Warrington and Manchester Swifties to get home post-gig, passengers should make sure to leave ample time to get to Liverpool Lime Street and be aware that heavy traffic congestion is likely.

For Swift’s other two gigs - Thursday June 13 and Friday June 14, anyone heading home can do so by making use of the 12.18am direct service from Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Victoria, which was recently introduced as part of the June 2024 timetable change.

To add to the Swiftie buzz, passengers travelling on TransPennine Express services can also expect free lover sweets onboard. Passengers are advised to check before you travel.
