Merseyside weather update Friday, 11 February, plus five-day forecast: Cloudy changing to sunny intervals

Towards the end of the week, it's looking partly cloudy across the region, apart from Birkenhead where there's some lovely winter sunshine. Temperatures hitting highs of 8°C.

As we move into the weekend, light drizzle is forecast with a 56% chance of showers in Southport. It's looking overcast in St Helens. Highs of 8°C or 9°C.

And looking at the five day forecast now and it does like a slightly damp picture for the region with light rain expected.

It's still feeling fairly mild for this time of year - no hint of snow yet. Into next week, we could see moderate rain with temperatures reaching highs of 9°C on Tuesday.
